How to decide whether the behaviour is acceptable or not?
What do Pardon and Punish mean?
Why are the names in the chat log hidden?
Why do I need to wait a few seconds before I can click on a voting button?
The voting page says: "No more cases available".
What is the CurveFever Tribunal? It's a system that fights against impolite players in Curve Fever. All players can help with reviewing these reports.
Who can become a Tribunal judge?Everybody who have played at least 100 games.
What happens to the insulters? If the final case result is Punish, the reported player is automatically banned for 7 days. He is informed by email containing the reason of his ban and link to the tribunal case. If the same user was already banned by the tribunal before, he is banned for length of the last ban + 7 days.
Finally, cases are reviewed by moderators to ensure the correct decision is made. Moderators reserve the right to reduce, extend or remove bans when required.
Someone reported me in a game, when will my case appear in the Tribunal? You need to be reported several times by different users. And then we automatically show the worst insulters to the judges. So, in short, it depends on how many reports people have made against you.
What are the counters on my dashboard and how do they work?Overall votes - showing the total count of your votes in the Tribunal.
Community match - percentage of your correct votes (the votes where you voted with the statistical majority of the community).
Coins earned - showing total amount of game credits that have been sent to your Curve Fever account by the Tribunal.
Please keep in mind that the community match and the coins earned are updated after each case is closed. This may take hours or days since you've submitted your vote.
C. Judging cases
How to decide whether the behaviour is acceptable or not? Please read the Help section for the judging guidelines.
What do Pardon and Punish mean? Those are your options for judging the cases. You click on Pardon when you are sure that the reported player does not deserve to have any action taken against him. You click Punish when you are sure that the player should be punished for his bad behaviour in the chat. In our Help section you can find which option to pick for particular cases.
Why are the names in the chat log hidden? We want to ensure that judging is anonymous and not affected by a players reputation in the community. You can see messages of reported player marked in red, with the name Reported Player.
Why do I need to wait a few seconds before I can click on a voting button?Voting buttons are unlocked 20 seconds after opening the case. The reason for this is to prevent abuse of the service by players that don't read the chat log and only want to earn coins fast.
The voting page says: "No more cases available".This means that the system currently has no more cases for you to review. When this happens, we suggest to come back in a few hours or the next day. This depends on the activity of the other judges and how well the community behaves.
How many game coins will I receive for one vote? You will get 5 game coins for every correct vote.
I've voted a few times already, but I have not yet gotten any coins.Coins are not credited to your account immediately. They are send to your account after the particular case is closed and your vote for that case is regarded correct. For your vote to be regarded correct, it needs to be like the statistical majority of all the votes on that case. Closing a case can take a few hours or days after you have submitted your vote.
What is a correct vote?Your vote is marked as correct if:
A) more than 70% + statistical margin of votes are for Punish,
B) more than 30% + statistical margin of votes are for Pardon,
C) the case was evaluated as NO RESULT because neither A) nor B) was fulfilled.
For correct votes you receive game coins.
